INFOTEC, una iniciativa de FORAGRO, es un sistema para compartir información científica, tecnológica y de innovación agropecuaria de las Américas. Aprovecha la plataforma infoagro.net desarrollada por el IICA para compartir información en diversos temas. El tipo de información que se comparte en INFOTEC incluye documentos a texto completo - incluso literatura gris, noticias, eventos, enlaces a información en otras fuentes y ofertas o demandas tecnológicas. Se envían boletines a todos los suscriptores cada 1-2 semanas.

INFOTEC, a FORAGRO initiative, is an agricultural science, technology and innovation information sharing system from the Americas. It takes advantage of the infoagro.net platform, developed by IICA to share information on different topics relevant to agriculture. The type of information shared through INFOTEC includes full text documents – also gray literature, news, events, links to information in other sources, and technological demands and supplies. Bulletins are sent to all subscribers every 1-2 weeks.

Instructions for getting information from this service: 

En este momento, la forma de obtener todos los tipos de información sobre un tema determinado es a través del formato del boletín (pronto habrá más opciones). Así, por ejemplo, para recuperar toda la información (documentos, noticias, eventos, enlaces, tecnologías) sobre “extensión” incluida en el sistema durante los últimos seis meses correspondería al siguiente URL: http://infoagro.net/es/apps/search/bulletin1.cfm?&term=extensión&field=&lang=&vsistema=3&vsys=a2&vinicio=05/11/2008&vfin=05/11/2009.

Currently, the option for retrieving all types of information  for a certain topic is through the bulletin format (more options soon). For example, to retrieve all the information (documents, news, events, links, technologies) on “extension” included in the system during the past six months, the URL would be: http://infoagro.net/en/apps/search/bulletin1.cfm?&term=extension&field=&lang=&vsistema=3&vsys=a2&vinicio=05/11/2008&vfin=05/11/2009.

 

Instructions for inputting information in this service: 

Todos los usuarios registrados / suscriptores pueden incluir información en el sistema a través de un formulario en línea que depende del tipo de información a incluir (instrucciones en http://infoagro.net/infotec/comparta.cfm). En el caso de los documentos, se carga también el archivo correspondiente. La información incluida permanece “pendiente” hasta que el administrador revisa su pertenencia temática y añade los descriptores adecuados.

 
All registered users / subscribers can include information in the system through online forms specific for each type of information. In the case of documents, the form also prompts for uploading the corresponding file. The information remains “pending” (invisible to users) until the administrator checks that it falls within the themes covered by the system and adds the adequate descriptors and keywords.
